Public Sessions

The general public is invited to attend a special session on oil and gas basics
as part of the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference

Monday, May 2, 2011, (1:30 to 4:00 pm ) at the Queensbury Convention
Centre – Salon One (second floor),Exhibition Grounds, Regina

The session is geared towards individuals who have little to no knowledge of the oil
and gas industry and includes presentations on concepts such as:

-  how and where oil is trapped; 
-  what it takes to drill, complete and equip a well for production;
-  how land is acquired for the exploration and development of oil and gas;
-  how to tax plan (for freehold mineral owners); and,  
-  And oil sands technologies  for Saskatchewan.
